Calle Málaga
María has turned 80 and was born and raised in Tangier. She has lived her entire life in her childhood home. Her daughter, Clara, lives in Madrid and is struggling financially after a divorce. As a solution, she decides to sell her mother’s apartment in Tangier. María refuses to accept this and will not leave her childhood home.
Calle Málaga is a warm and moving drama about old age. The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and is directed by Maryam Touzani, who also directed The Blue Caftan.
