”Go home”, reads the message painted on the wall of the ransacked house Nada arrives at. She has travelled back to the Lebanese village she grew up in, with only a tiny suitcase, and even sparser knowledge of the Arabic language. The house, which belongs to her family, has been empty for several years. Their garden has been used as a dumpster by the village people, and inside the house there are traces of blood and bullet holsters. She wonders what happened, and will under no circumstances stop investigating the history behind the house. Nada wants to find out why her family left this place and travelled to Europe. But without the necessary language skills and neighbors unwilling to help, she finds herself a little lost. When her brother, Samir, suddenly arrives notifying her that their father wants to sell the house, her search for the truth seems even harder.
