It goes without saying that practicing motorsports in Palestine, with its 500 roadblocks, is not easy. Being an all female motorsports team does not make it any easier, but if anyone can do it it is Marah, Mona, Betty, Noor and Maysoon who together make up the Middle Easts first female motorsports team. Speed Sisters’ greatest strength is that it does not only consist of an outer enemy by the occupying force of Israel, but also consist of intrigues between the excessive personalities inside the group. When you mix personal stories with fast-paced competitions and occupation, the result is a riveting story about five women who pave a path for themselves in one of the worlds most male dominated sports, and who immediately became role models for young Palestinian girls.
