Transient Happiness
An elderly Kurdish couple tries to get through their daily life while bombs fall on neighboring towns. When the wife becomes ill, they must make their way to the nearest city in this warm and sweet love story.
The couple resides in a turbulent border region between Turkey, Iran, and Iraq. Although they are not part of the war actions in the area, the Kurds suffer from the bombing by the various countries. Transient Happiness beautifully showcases the lives of the Kurdish people, who try to maintain some form of normality and appreciate the small joys in life. When the wife's health deteriorates, her emotionally unavailable husband must find his motorcycle to get her to town for medical treatment.
